U.S.A: AVIATION, GOVERNMENT FINES AMERICAN AIRLINES

The US government gave a record fine to American Airlines for violating security norms. The airline will have to pay 24.2 million Dollars for not having maintained its aircraft as prescribed, thus having to cancel thousands of flights in 2008 and leaving on the ground 300,000 passengers. American Airlines has 30 days time to appeal against the Federal Administration Administration’s decision.
