The US Consumer Confidence index is now at its highest in two and a half years. The Michigan index grows to 76 points, the highest since January 2008, against 73.6 recorded in May, and the expected 75.5.
The current index rises to 85.6 against 82.9 in June, and the forecast grows from 68.8 to 69.8 -below the expected 70.9.
