A 24-hour public transport and train strike has been confirmed by trade unions for July 9. Trains will stop running at 9 p.m. on Thursday July 8 until 9 p.m. on Friday July 9 while buses, the underground and trams will not run on Friday July 9th as established locally and respecting protected hours. The strike has been called by FILT CGIL, FIT CISL, Uiltrasporti, Ugltrasporti, Orsa Trasporti, Faisa and Fast “to support the controversy over new contracts that has been ongoing for the past two years.” .
