Study: mammographies are increasingly less effective in preventing deadly cases of breast cancer. The fact is partially due to the new techniques and treatments utilized to combat the disease. A New England Journal of Medicine study reveals that the rate of mortality only dropped by 10% subsequently to the introduction of routine breast controls, “much less than expected” by physicians.
