Americans believe that former President George W. Bush is responsible of the current US crisis. That belief persists 20 month after the arrival to the White House of President Obama, according to a USA Today/Gallup survey. 71% of the respondents accuse Bush. In July 2009 the percentage was 80%. One third of the population surveyed believes he is responsible, but only marginally.
