The decision to market genetically modified salmons in the USA has been postponed. The data which the FDA disposes of have been judged insufficient. It is impossible to decide if the fish, capable of growing two times as fast as normal, is safe for consumers. In case of approval, it would be the first case of a GMO to be on the tables of American homes.
