USA: OIL LEAK IN MICHIGAN, CRUDE OIL SPILLS INTO RIVER

A leak in a Michigan pipeline has spilled 19,500 barrels of crude oil into the Kalamazoo River. The pipeline carrying oil from Griffith, Indiana, to Sarnia in Ontario broke and spilled 19,500 barrels of crude oil into the waters of the Talmadge Creek, in the valley of the Kalamazoo River. The Company responsible for the leak is the Canadian Enbridge Energy Partners, which has already pledged to refund the damages. Up to now, about 20 families have been forced to evacuate the area.
