The number of Ethiopian children adopted by American parents touched a record this year. Six years ago the number was 284 out of a total of 22,990. For 2010, the Department of State forecasts almost 11,000 adoptions, 2,500 of which will concern orphans coming from this African Country. The trend goes against the mainstream drop concerning other Countries. In Ethiopia, minors without parents are approximately 5 million.
