Egg prices have increased 40% in the US following the vast recent recalls. Only in the northwest the increase reached +38% since 13 August, the day of the first recall of millions of contaminated eggs. The data is presented by the research firm Urner Barry Publications, which stated the average egg price increase had equaled +9% in the last five years.
