Television blackouts have reached a 10-year high due to the armwrestling on Pay Tv fees. Media operators do not accept the proposal made by content providers to increase TV licence fees. The dispute has caused 5 blackouts this year. Up to now, it was the 19 million subscribers who paid for it, having missed out on the Academy Awards celebration and several basketball matches, among other programs.
