LISBONA – Il Portogallo torna a bruciare. E un Canadair impegnato contro le fiamme precipita. Anche in questi tre giorni di lutto nazionale proclamato in memoria delle 64 vittime del disastro di Pedrogao Grande, sono divampati nuovi incendi, questa volta a Gois, a circa 20 chilometri da Petroga, mentre i vigili del fuoco continuano a lottare contro le fiamme nella zona della strage e sperano di tenerle finalmente sotto controllo entro la fine della giornata di martedì.
Oltre 1.200 pompieri e nove mezzi aerei sono sempre impegnati nella lotta contro le fiamme a Pedrogao, nel Portogallo centrale. Altri 800 e quattro Canadair combattono ora l’incendio di Gois, che il comandante della protezione civile, Vitor Vaz Ointo, ha definito “molto veloce e esplosivo”. Le condizioni meteorologiche nell’area rimangono difficili, con forti venti e temperature oltre i 40 gradi.
