ACHIN, AFGHANISTAN – Le milizie filo-governative afghane hanno decapitato quattro terroristi dell’Isis nella provincia di Nangarhar e hanno esposto le loro teste al pubblico. Uno spettacolo brutale dal quale l’esercito ufficiale ha preso le distanze, condannando il gesto.
Le milizie locali, fedeli a Haji Zahir, deputato e presidente del parlamento afghano, hanno posizionato le teste decapitate dei quattro terroristi Isis ai margini della strada principale del distretto di Achin, nella provincia orientale di Nangarhar. La brutale esecuzione è una ritorsione contro le decapitazioni da parte dell’Isis di miliziani fedeli a Zahir. I miliziani hanno voluto così vendicare la cattura e la decapitazione di quattro loro commilitoni da parte dei guerriglieri dello Stato islamico.
Si tratta di insomma di una vendetta, roba da legge del taglione, in un Paese imbarbarito da trent’anni di guerra. Ne ha dato notizia lo stesso parlamentare Zahir, spiegando ai giornalisti: “Se ci tagliano la testa, tagliano la testa dei nostri figli, vi aspettate che ci mettiamo a cucinare i biscotti per loro? Durante le guerre non si distribuiscono biscotti. Durante le guerre la gente muore”.
Le autorità locali hanno condannato la brutale esecuzione e l’esibizione al pubblico delle teste mozzate, piazzate sui muretti di pietra al bordo della strada. Il capo del distretto Haji Ghaleb ha commentato duramente che “se erano criminali, allora avrebbero dovuto essere giudicati da una corte penale e non da una sorta di tribunale del popolo“. Tribunale del popolo in inglese si dice “kangaroo court” proprio perché salta il processo per arrivare subito alla condanna.
