ROMA – Natale nel mondo: Sydney, Betlemme, Trastevere, Berlino, Londra, sul fiume Potomac in Virginia … guarda le più belle foto del 25 dicembre 2015 . Mentre sulla spiaggia di Bondi Beach , la più famosa di Sydney e forse di tutta l’Australia, il Natale si festeggia in costume da bagno (non è una stravaganza, lì è estate), a Berlino i pazzi dello swimming club “Berliner Seehunde” sfidano il freddo e si buttano nel lago Orankesee per il tradizionale bagno di Natale.
Stessa tradizione, ma località diversa e temperature solo di poco più miti per i londinesi che si esibiscono nella nuotata di Natale della “Coppa Peter Pan” nel fiume Serpentine ad Hyde Park . In Virginia, nel fiume Potomac , i virtuosi dello sci d’acqua si esibiscono vestiti da Babbo Natale.
Ma Natale non è solo il giorno delle stravaganze e del divertimento. A Santa Maria in Trastevere, nel cuore di Roma, la Comunità di Sant’Egidio organizza il tradizionale pranzo di Natale per i poveri. A Betlemme , nella West Bank dei territori occupati, il Patriarca di Gerusalemme Fouad Twal celebra la messa di Mezzanotte nella Basilica della Natività, alla presenza del leader dell’Autorità nazionale palestinese Abu Mazen. In piazza San Pietro , Papa Francesco ha pronunciato la benedizione Urbi et Orbi (VIDEO) davanti a migliaia di fedeli.
