LOS ANGELES – Questa notte, 19 settembre, è andata in onda l’edizione numero 68 degli Emmy Awards. L’evento ha avuto luogo al Microsoft Theatre di Hollywood ed è stata presentata da Jimmy Kimmel.
Nel discorso iniziale Jimmy Kimmel loda l’eterogeneità degli Emmy 2016 e il potere che ha la televisione di far emozionare. Pioggia di premi per O.J. Simpson che riesce a battere addirittura Sherlock per l’attore protagonista in una miniserie. Game of Thrones si conferma ancora vincente ed arriva ad un record difficilmente eguagliabile: ben 36 premi in appena sei stagioni. Unica nota stonata: restano senza premi i protagonisti principali della serie.
